Constituents across Luton South and South Bedfordshire often get in touch to share concerns about road conditions in their local area, especially regarding potholes.
The Government is taking action to improve road conditions across the country by introducing a £7.3 billion multi-year funding settlement for Local Highway Authorities, as well as a new rating system so residents know how well their local authority is spending money allocated to fix potholes.
Under this settlement, Luton and Central Bedfordshire Councils are set to receive £14.5 million and £48.8 million respectively over the next four years.
